Linking Your Bank Account to Altruist

Once your Altruist accounts are opened, you can link your bank account to them.

Here are the instructions for doing that on a desktop computer:

1. Click on your initials in the upper right corner.

2. Select "Settings."

3. Click on "Accounts" in the upper right corner.

4. Select the account you'd like to add a funding account to from the left side of the screen.

5. Adding a funding account to one Altruist account doesn't add it to all Altruist accounts.

6. Click on "Add Funding Account." You may need to scroll down to see it.

   1. If you've already added a funding account to another Altruist account, you'll be able to select that account, connect it, and you'll be done.

7. If this is your first time connecting an account to Altruist, you should be directed to Plaid to log into your bank account.

8. Search for your bank, select it, then enter your login credentials.

9. If your bank doesn't appear, you'll be directed to add your account with your routing number and account number. If this is the case, follow the directions provided by Altruist, and reach out if you have any questions.

10. Once you've logged in to your bank, you'll be able to choose which account to link.

Here are instructions for if you're using the mobile app:

1. Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner.

2. Select "Funding Accounts."

3. Select the Altruist account you want to add a funding account to.

4. Adding a funding account to one Altruist account doesn't add it to all Altruist accounts.

5. Select "Add" in the upper right corner.

   1. If you've already added a funding account to another Altruist account, you'll be able to select that account, connect it, and you'll be done.

6. If this is your first time connecting an account to Altruist, you should be directed to Plaid to log into your bank account.

7. Search for your bank, select it, then enter your login credentials.

8. If your bank doesn't appear, you'll be directed to add your account with your routing number and account number. If this is the case, follow the directions provided by Altruist, and reach out if you have any questions.

9. Once you've logged in, you'll be able to choose which account to link.

When you've linked your accounts, I'll send a request for move money authorization, so I can move the funds on your behalf.
